Na ovogodišnjoj dodjeli prestižnih britanskih modnih nagrada u Londonu našlo se mnoštvo svjetski poznatih lica, koja su za ovu prigodu izvukla najbolje komade odjeće iz ormara. No, nitko se nije nadao da će jedna osoba zasjeniti sve prisutne. Međutim, Meghan Markle, kao posebna gošća iznenađenja, nije prošla crvenim tepihom i nitko je nije vidio do trenutka kad ju je glumica Rosamund Pike prozvala na pozornicu, donosi InStyle.

Trudna Vojvotkinja na pozornici je zablistala u crnoj baršunastoj haljini koja otkriva jedno rame. I, dok možda mislite kako je haljina ta koja je sporna kada je riječ o kraljevskom protokolu, ovaj put nije tako. Nokti su ti koji ovaj put digli prašinu. Naime, na Meghan su se cijelu večer isticali crni nokti, uređeni u gotičkom stilu. Prema tradiciji, članice kraljevske obitelji smiju imati nalakirane nokte, ali boje moraju biti vrlo suptilne, recimo bež ili blago ružičaste boje. Izgleda kako se Meghan još jednom oglušila na pravila i odlučila ostati vjerna svom prijašnjem stilu- barem u toj mjeri.

Joined on stage by Rosamund Pike (both in Givenchy), Markle appeared to thunderous applause. Here are some highlights from her speech: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "When we choose to wear a certain designer, we're not just a reflection of their creativity & vision, but an extension of their values ... [So], I feel especially proud to announce tonight's winner who, yes, is a British designer leading on the global stage with vision & creativity, but also with incredible kindness, which is why when I met her ... 11 months ago, I knew we'd be working very closely together. The winner this evening is Clare Waight Keller." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A totally overwhelmed Keller joined Meghan on the stage & said a few words of her own: “This woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level. To have someone like that trust you on such a personal moment in their life...
